FAU Berlin Supports Global Strike on 2019-09-20

Real changes in climate policy can only be achieved through economic pressure. The strike is the right way to achieve this. That is why the FAU Berlin supports the Global Strike on 20 September 2019.

Climate change is mainly caused by the way in which the economy works in industrialised countries. It is the greatest environmental disaster of our time. For almost a year, young people around the world have been striking at schools to draw attention to this emergency. Only the drastic reduction of greenhouse gas emissions can give them a secure future.

Politicians have not yet reacted with the necessary measures. To change this, a broad alliance of organisations is now calling for a general strike on 20 September 2019.
